What do you do when you have a lot to do before the first day of school? You play kickball. Congrats to the K through 4th grade teachers who participated. They won and won duty-free lunch.
Cold Springs Elementary Families,
For the first week of school, PreK and Kindergarten parents may park and walk your child inside if you wish. However, starting Monday, August 16, drop-off will take place from the car line only.
We discussed Pre-K having its own car line. However, after some additional considerations, we have decided to allow Pre-K families to use the same car line as the rest of the school during morning drop-off. This will allow for fewer drop-off difficulties for families with multiple children. Your Pre-K student will be supervised in the gym until all students arrive.
PreK Pick-up is at 2:15 and will still take place in the area we discussed using the gates near the east side of campus, outside the downstairs Pre-K classrooms. If you have any questions at all, please join your teacher's Remind and reach out to them.
Remember: Students will come the first two days based on the oldest child's last name. A-K: Wednesday L-Z: Thursday. Everyone comes on Friday. K-8th dismisses at 1, PreK at 12.
Attention 6th-8th students who are not assigned 7th period Athletics: There will be a $5 PE locker fee this year. Each student needs to provide a combination lock and have the combination ready to give Coach Dickerson. Also, you need to know your shirt and shorts sizes (These will provided for students).

The following items will be needed for your student for this school year. Please bring these items to orientation, if possible.
-A full change of clothes in a ziploc bag with your child’s name on it
-a family photo
-individual photo of your child (hard copies preferred but can sent by email, emilyjohnson@ccboe.org or
Sshumaker@ccboe.org)
-Old t-shirt for messy learning activities
-Nap mat or blanket for rest time (a cot and sheet is provided).
-Snack for each day (not needed at orientation)
All other supplies are provided.
